Michael J. Liberatore
Michael J. Liberatore acts in an Of Counsel capacity for Figueroa-Contreras Law Group on complex business immigration matters. Although not a member of the Florida Bar, he represents immigration clients nationwide and worldwide.
Mr. Liberatore received his Bachelor's degree in History, with a minor in Spanish Literature, from Columbia University in 1980, and his Juris Doctor from Northeastern University School of Law in 1983.
Following law school, he received an Organization of American States fellowship to study environmental law in Brazil. He then practiced as a securities litigation attorney in California before relocating to São Paulo, Brazil in 1986 to serve as in-house counsel. He returned to Miami in 1989 and established his own firm in 1990, focusing his practice on business immigration matters ever since.
Mr. Liberatore is registered with the Brazilian Bar Association (Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil) as a Foreign Law Consultant in Brazil. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
