Marie Javier

Ms. Javier is an attorney at our Miami office and handles full-service U.S. immigration, nationality and consular law matters. A native of the Dominican Republic who grew up in Puerto Rico, she brings a deep understanding of cross-border legal issues to her practice.

Ms. Javier earned her Juris Doctor from Inter American University School of Law in 1999, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Magna Cum Laude, from Inter American University in San Juan in 1996.

After law school, she joined the firm of Cuevas Segarra, where she handled commercial litigation and medical malpractice cases. In 2001 she joined the Federal Litigations Division of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Justice Department, where she developed a stellar reputation for litigating matters involving civil rights violations. She subsequently joined the tax litigation unit at Ernst & Young before establishing her own practice in San Juan in 2006.

Since 2006, Ms. Javier has practiced exclusively in the area of U.S. immigration law, with a focus on family-based immigration and business immigration matters. She has a long record of success in extraordinary ability and investor visas.

Ms. Javier appears regularly as a guest commentator on Noticiero Telemundo's immigration segment. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
